Description

Sticky Chicken Rice Bowls combine tender chicken with a sweet and savory sauce, served over fluffy rice. An easy and flavorful meal for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 lb chicken breasts, diced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the sauce.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced chicken until golden and cooked through.
  3. Add the sauce to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  4. Serve the sticky chicken over a bowl of cooked rice.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Make sure to cook the chicken thoroughly until it’s no longer pink inside. For a quick prep, use leftover rice or pre-cooked rice.
