Simple Herbed Green Beans

A fresh and flavorful side dish made with green beans, garlic, and olive oil, perfect for brightening up any meal.

  • 1 lb Fresh green beans
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim the green beans.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
  3. Add the green beans and cook for about 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Drain the beans and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop cooking.
  5. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  6. Add the green beans to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and toss to combine.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

Do not overcook the green beans; they should remain bright green and slightly crunchy. Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
