Sausage and Egg Casserole

A hearty and delicious dish perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner, combining sausage, fluffy eggs, and melted cheese.

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 2 cups bread (optional)
  • 1 cup vegetables (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer the cooked sausage in a greased baking dish, followed by bread and vegetables if using.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the layers and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the eggs are set and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving to help it set and make it easier to cut.
