  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract and pumpkin puree until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, flattening them slightly.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, ensure butter is softened, and avoid overmixing the dough. Customize with chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
