Ingredients
- 250g macaroni
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni in a large pot of boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In another pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the flour and stir for about 1 minute to create a roux.
- Slowly pour in the milk while stirring to avoid lumps. Continue to cook until the mixture thickens.
- Add the cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan to the creamy mixture and stir until melted and well combined.
- Incorporate the mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
- Pour everything into a baking dish and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes.
Notes
For extra creaminess, add a bit more milk if necessary. Feel free to customize with vegetables or proteins.
