A delicious one-pan meal combining ground beef, potatoes, and cheese, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4-5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup beef broth or water
- 1/4 cup milk (optional, for creaminess)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the onion is soft.
- Layer sliced potatoes on top of the cooked ground beef in the baking dish, seasoning with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the top and pour beef broth around the edges.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For added crunch, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top before baking. Customize with veggies or substitute ground beef as desired.
