Description

A delicious one-pan meal combining ground beef, potatoes, and cheese, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4-5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 1/4 cup milk (optional, for creaminess)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the onion is soft.
  4. Layer sliced potatoes on top of the cooked ground beef in the baking dish, seasoning with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the top and pour beef broth around the edges.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For added crunch, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top before baking. Customize with veggies or substitute ground beef as desired.
