Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- Cooking spray
- Additional cinnamon and sugar for coating
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the applesauce and almond milk.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the dough into small bite-sized pieces.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the churro bites in a single layer.
- Cook for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
- Mix additional sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, roll the churro bites in this mixture while warm.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
