Grinch Oreo Balls with Red Velvet Oreos

Delightful and festive Grinch Oreo Balls made with Red Velvet Oreos and a whimsical green candy coating, perfect for holiday celebrations.

  • 1 package Red Velvet Oreos (22 cookies)
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 7 oz green candy melts
  • Red heart sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until fine crumbs form.
  3. Add in the cream cheese and mix again until a soft dough forms.
  4. Using a 1 tablespoon measuring spoon, scoop out the dough and roll it between your palms. Place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all the dough is used.
  5. Chill the truffles in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts in 30-second increments, stirring in between each interval. If the candy melts aren’t thin enough to dip, add 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil or any unflavored oil and mix well.
  7. Using a chocolate dipping fork, dip each truffle ball into the candy melts, coating it evenly. Place it back on the baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining truffles.
  8. Place the leftover candy melts in a piping bag and drizzle over the truffles. Then, sprinkle a red heart on top to create the iconic Grinch heart.
  9. Allow the treats to set in the fridge for a few minutes before enjoying!

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for better mixing. If you’re having trouble rolling the balls, cool the mixture again for a short time. Using a high-quality candy melt can make a big difference in taste and appearance!
