Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F to 115°F)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in the melted butter. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl; cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Punch down the dough, divide it into equal portions, and shape into balls. Place them on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Cover rolls; let them rise again until doubled (about 30 minutes).
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Brush with melted butter mixed with minced garlic before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days or frozen for up to two months.
