Four Cheese Mac and Cheese

A warm, creamy dish with a blend of four delicious cheeses, perfect for family dinners and potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces macaroni
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine butter and flour to make a roux.
  2. Gradually add milk, stirring until thickened.
  3. Add all cheeses, salt, and pepper, and stir until melted and combined.
  4. Cook macaroni according to package directions, then drain.
  5. Mix cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce in the slow cooker.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours or until heated through and creamy.

Notes

Serve hot with a green salad or garlic bread. For added color, sprinkle chopped parsley or extra cheese before serving.
