Crack Breakfast Casserole

A hearty breakfast casserole with layers of bacon, hash browns, and cheddar cheese, perfect for family gatherings or brunch.

  • 8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 package (30 ounces) frozen hash browns, thawed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Layer the hash browns evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Spread the cooked bacon over the hash browns.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and hash browns.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed vegetables like bell peppers or spinach. Make sure to thaw the hash browns completely before layering.
