Classic Thanksgiving Feast

A traditional Thanksgiving dinner featuring turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, and pies, perfect for gathering loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole turkey (1214 pounds)
  • 2 cups stuffing mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cups green beans
  • 2 cups cranberry sauce
  • 2 pies (pumpkin and pecan)

Instructions

  1. Thaw the turkey in the fridge if frozen. On Thanksgiving morning, preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Remove the giblets and rinse the turkey. Season it with salt and pepper, then stuff the turkey with stuffing mix.
  2. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast for 3-4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the turkey with its juices every 30 minutes for a golden skin.
  3. While the turkey cooks, peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with milk and butter. Keep warm until serving.
  4. Sauté the green beans in butter and season with salt until bright and tender.
  5. Warm the cranberry sauce in a small pot on low heat to serve with the meal.
  6. If using store-bought pies, follow the baking instructions on the package. Bake them in the oven while the turkey rests.

Notes
