Christmas Crack – Saltine Cracker Toffee

A festive and addictive treat made with saltine crackers, buttery toffee, and rich chocolate, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 12 oz Chocolate Chips
  • Saltine Crackers

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Line a 9 by 13-inch pan with foil for easy cleanup.
  3. Place one layer of saltines in the pan and set it aside.
  4. In a saucepan, combine the butter and brown sugar. Bring to a rolling boil and cook for 3 minutes while stirring.
  5. Pour the hot mixture over the crackers and bake in the oven for 7 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the hot cracker base.
  7. Spread the melting chocolate like icing, and add any desired toppings such as nuts or sprinkles.
  8. Refrigerate to cool, then break into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, experiment with flavored crackers and various toppings such as crushed nuts, mini marshmallows, or drizzled chocolate.
