Description
A warm, creamy sandwich with shredded chicken, mashed avocado, and melted cheese between grilled bread slices.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1 cup cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for grilling
- Optional: lettuce or tomato slices
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with the mashed avocado and season with salt and pepper.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side, layer the chicken-avocado mixture, top with cheese, and optionally add lettuce or tomato slices.
- Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Use ripe but firm avocado for best mixing. Shred chicken small for even bites. Butter well for a golden crust.
