Description

A warm, creamy sandwich with shredded chicken, mashed avocado, and melted cheese between grilled bread slices.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed
  • 1 cup cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for grilling
  • Optional: lettuce or tomato slices


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with the mashed avocado and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side, layer the chicken-avocado mixture, top with cheese, and optionally add lettuce or tomato slices.
  4. Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  6. Serve warm.

Notes

Use ripe but firm avocado for best mixing. Shred chicken small for even bites. Butter well for a golden crust.
