Description

A delightful one-pan dish combining smoked sausage, rice, and Cajun spices for a hearty and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 Bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Add sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in diced bell peppers and sauté for another 3 minutes.
  5. Add rice and Cajun seasoning, stirring to combine.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
  8. Fluff with a fork and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning to suit your spice preference. For extra flavor, ensure the sausage is nicely browned.
