A warm and hearty breakfast casserole combining fluffy biscuits, savory sausage, and rich gravy, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 3 cups Milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 can Refrigerated biscuit dough (cut into quarters)
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until it’s browned. Then, add the flour and whisk until smooth. Gradually whisk in the milk to make a thick gravy.
  3. Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and layer them in the greased baking dish. Pour the gravy over the biscuits.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is golden and bubbly.

Notes

For a creamier gravy, use whole milk instead of 2%. Feel free to spice things up with hot sausage or add diced jalapeños.
