Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80-85% lean recommended)
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs (soaked in milk)
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (or dried herbs)
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp White Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, soak the panko breadcrumbs in milk for a few minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the soaked breadcrumbs. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ketchup, white vinegar, and brown sugar to create the glaze. Spread half the glaze over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, then spread the remaining glaze on top and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until cooked through.
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing.
