Baked Brie Phyllo Wreath

A delicious festive appetizer featuring gooey brie cheese surrounded by crispy phyllo dough, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz brie cheese wheel
  • 1 package phyllo dough (8 sheets)
  • 3 tbsp cranberry jam (or any jam of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Fresh thyme (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a cake pan with a piece of parchment paper.
  2. Cut the brie cheese into small square slices and set aside.
  3. Lay down two phyllo sheets at a time and brush them with melted butter. Repeat this process 4 times, using all 8 phyllo sheets.
  4. Fold the two phyllo sheets into an accordion shape. Do this for all sheets.
  5. Place the folded phyllo dough in the outer edges of a round cake pan to create a wreath shape. Gently open the folds as you place them.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes to get the phyllo a bit crispy.
  7. Add the jam and brie cheese slices in between the phyllo folds. Open them up a bit with your hands if needed.
  8. Bake for another 20 minutes, turning the oven to 375°F for the last 5 minutes for extra crispiness.
  9. Remove from the pan when it’s done and transfer to a serving board.
  10. Garnish with fresh thyme and serve immediately. Drizzle with honey for extra flavor.

Notes

Keep phyllo sheets covered with a damp cloth to prevent drying out. Experiment with different jams for unique flavors.
