Amish Hamburger Steak Bake

A comforting and hearty dish combining ground beef, vegetables, and creamy soup, perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups cooked potatoes, diced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onions over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink.
  3. Stir in the mushrooms and cook until softened.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef mixture, diced potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Top with shredded cheese if using.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm.
