35-Minute Orange Crispy Chicken

A quick and delicious recipe for Orange Crispy Chicken, featuring a sweet and tangy sauce over crispy chicken served on jasmine rice.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a pot, add jasmine rice, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. Cut chicken into strips and coat with cornstarch and black pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and cook chicken until golden and crispy, about 5-6 minutes per side.
  4. In a separate pan, mix orange juice, soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Toss crispy chicken in the orange sauce until fully coated.
  6. Serve chicken over jasmine rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the sauce. For different flavors, substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu.
