Description
Quick and delicious cheesy ground beef quesadillas that are packed with flavor and easy to make.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup salsa (optional)
- 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper, cooking until soft.
- Add ground beef and break it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned.
- Stir in garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Remove the beef mixture from heat and set aside.
- Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place one tortilla in the skillet.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese on the tortilla, then spread half of the beef mixture on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese and top with a second tortilla.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese melts.
- Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- Slice into wedges and serve with salsa and sour cream, if desired.
Notes
Serve hot with salsa and sour cream. Consider adding fresh cilantro or jalapeños for extra flavor.
