Description

Quick and delicious cheesy ground beef quesadillas that are packed with flavor and easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup salsa (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper, cooking until soft.
  2. Add ground beef and break it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Remove the beef mixture from heat and set aside.
  5. Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place one tortilla in the skillet.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheese on the tortilla, then spread half of the beef mixture on top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and top with a second tortilla.
  8. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese melts.
  9. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
  10. Slice into wedges and serve with salsa and sour cream, if desired.

Notes

Serve hot with salsa and sour cream. Consider adding fresh cilantro or jalapeños for extra flavor.
